Teriyaki Sauce



























Ingredients:

1 cup of water


1 tbs finely chopped scallions (green onions)

1 tsp tamarind paste


1 tsp grated fresh ginger


2 tbs maple syrup


1 tbs tapioca starch


1/4 cup water


1 tsp unrefined toasted sesame oil


2 tsp sesame seeds


Directions:

In small saucepan, bring the first six ingredients to a simmer. In the meantime, stir cornstarch into remaining 1/4 cup water. Whisk cornstarch slurry into the pan. Bring contents back to a simmer for about a minute, stirring occasionally.  Remove pan from heat and add sesame oil and seeds if you so desire. Enjoy as a dip, in stir fry or marinade!
