Savory Green French Lentils

 



 

  Ingredients:

1 cup dry organic french green lentils (soaked overnight)

water

8 oz frozen organic spinach

kelp salt (gives it a soy sauce like flavor)

1 tbs epis 

1 tsp onion powder

1 tbs dry parsley

half of an onion diced

1 tbs extra virgin olive oil

 

Directions:

Drain and rinse lentil and place in deep pan with water (enough to cover 2 inches above lentils) and bring to a boil under medium heat. Let boil for about 10 minutes and then add spinach along with the rest of the ingredients except diced onions, salt and oil. After another 10 minutes of boiling add salt to taste and let simmer for about 3 minutes. Add in onions mix and remove from heat. Let cool a little and add in the olive oil and voila! Serve with your favorite grain and salad.


*note: make your own kelp salt by mixing together half measure of sea salt and half measure of kelp in a spice bottle. Shake well to blend for uniformity.
